These are our comments on the data you sent us :
1. Generally it is hotter near the equator and cooler towards the North and South poles. It is about 18 degrees C hotter at latitude 42 S than 42 N because it is summer in the south and winter in the north.
2. The further north the shorter the day and the further south the longer the day.
3. The data we collected in Uphall, Scotland fits the general trend for temperature and daylight.
4.We entered the given data to a Claris Works spreadsheet and produced line graphs for temperature versus latitude and daylight minutes versus latitude.
5.We noticed that Katherine, Australia had the wrong latitude (14.45 instead of -14.45) and that Singapore and Katherine had more minutes of daylight than we expected.
We enjoyed the Sun and Temp project because we enjoyed learning about the facts from the e-mails.
