We looked at our large world map to analyze the data. We placed stickies onto the map. On each sticky in one color, we wrote the name of the place, its latitude, and the mean temperature. We tried to find patterns when we looked at the information. On another sticky in a different color, we wrote the location, latitude, and the average minutes of daylight. Again we tried to find any patterns. This is what we found out.
Temperature: During the week of December 1, if you lived close to the equator, you would have had hot temperatures. If you lived further away from the equator, you would have had cold temperatures. As you moved farther away from the equator, it got colder and colder.
Minutes of Daylight: During the week of December 1, as you went from the north pole to the south pole, there were more minutes of daylight.
We would like to know which season everyone in the project was having during the week we took the temperatures (December 1).
