We have 219 boys and 246 girls in our school. Our mascot is the cougar, and our colors are green and gold. We have eight teachers, and we switch for social studies, health, science, reading, math, and English. Our playground includes two baseball diamonds, a football field, basketball court, swings, monkeybars, and uneven bars.
If you have a Hoover vacuum cleaner, it is made in our town at the Hoover Company. And if you like London's Candies, they are also made here in North Canton. North Canton is the heart of Ohio, and Ohio is the heart of the U.S.A. We are located 60 miles south of Lake Eire. Local sites that we like to visit are The Football Hall of Fame, The Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame, and Jacobs' Field, home of the Cleveland Indians.
Ohio has four seasons. We have a hot summer, warm spring, cool fall, and we've had our first winter snow. North Canton used to have many farms, but now a lot of farms are turning into neighborhoods. Our school grew so much that our sixth graders had to move to a middle school, and we built a beautiful new high school.
This is the first time we've done this project, and we can't wait to see how it works!
