We are a 5th grade class from Eastside Elementary in Niles, Michigan. Our teacher’s name is Mr. Hartsell, and there are 24 students in our class. Niles is located at approximately 42 degrees N Latitude and 86 degrees W Longitude.
Our 5 most favorite hobbies are soccer, football, biking, baseball, and basketball. We have classes in Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading, Language, and Spelling. Our specials include Library, Gym and Reading Enrichment.
We have two Junior College campuses here in Niles. Both Lake Michigan College and Southwestern Michigan College offer classes in Niles. We are the only city in the U.S. to have had four flags fly over its region. Niles has been protected by British, French, Spanish as well as American soldiers.Fort St. Joseph was located somewhere in this area on the St. Joseph River. The location of the fort is somewhat of a mystery.
