It was fun and
interesting to find out how much water we each used. We were surprised sometimes. |

Our
students had this to say: This is one of the most exciting projects ever! We
are amazed at the amount of water we used! We used more water than we thought
we would. Just thinking about it makes me tired! Not all of us liked this
project. This was a fun project! You should try it! This project makes you
think about the environment. This project takes a lot of effort and you have
to be dedicated. This project was much different than other science projects
because this one you do all week at home. This project makes people more
cautious about how much water they use. |

Class low was
22.5 gal per person per day, class high was 194.41 gal per person per day.
This study was conducted in the spring of 2008 in NC, where we are currenly
under water restrictions due to drought conditions which may account for our
low class average. |

We visited our
local water company as a culmination for this project. The students were ableto see how math
applies to the real world. Our class learned practical ways to save water.
This was an awesome project. We are planning on doing it again, next year.
Thank you. |
