Dear Fellow Water Boilers:
We are students from Reed High School , located in Sparks , Nevada . Our elevation is 1344 m and our latitude and longitude is 39:32 N and 119:44 W. Oir school mascot is a Raider and our colors are blue and gold. Our school was established in 1974. We have approximately 2400 students enrolled in the school.
Sparks , Nevada is located near the California border in the Sierra Mountains . Sparks was first established as a railroad town. The state of Nevada has legalized gambling. Sparks is near Lake Tahoe , where in the summer you can swim, water ski and ride boats. In the Winter we can go snow skiing and snow boarding.
Our Hypothsis for our class, we feel will make the difference in boiling water is the elevation. The reason we think this is the reason is beacause there is less oxygen in the air at higher elevations.
Thanks,
Mr. Moss' 3rd period Science
