Is it Fair: The Single Cube Game?
In this activity you use a Microworlds Applet to roll
one cube many times. The object is to see if you can predict which
event
(1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6) will come up most often and win the race.
The computer just rolled one cube 105 times and 3 was the
winner.
- Try it again. What happened this time?
- Can you predict which number will win if we roll the die
500 times? Why?
- Is this a fair game? Does each number have the same chance
of winning?
Explain?
